Plan
- 90 grams of Javanese spice paste
- 300 grams of meat substitute or tofu (tofu)
- 50 grams of mushrooms
- 150 grams green beans
- 5 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion
- 100 ml coconut milk
Optional
- serundeng
- fried onions
Prep
- Finely chop the onion.
- Dice the meat substitute or tofu
- Cut the mushrooms into pieces
- Wash and dice the green beans
Pleasure
- Heat the oil and add the onion and spice paste and fry briefly
- Add the meat substitute or tofu and stir-fry for 3 minutes over high heat until done
- Add the mushrooms and green beans and stir fry 2 minutes
- Add coconut milk and stir well
- Close pan over medium-high heat for a few minutes until green beans are cooked but still crisp.
- Add salt and pepper if necessary.
- Serve in a nice bowl and decorate with fried onions and Serundeng.
Pssst...
- For more sauce, add more coconut milk at the end. If it is not strong enough, add some more spice paste.
- Eat with rice, Surinamese fried rice or Javanese noodles.
- Roll it in a wrap or omelet and serve with Surinamese peanut sauce and bean sprouts or make Javanese omelet wrap to go with it
